Beer Holidays Ideas |
The pride of Germany is its big beer festivals. They gush with rivers
of delicious beer, pork, frankfurters, sausages and sauerkraut. Beer
holidays rattle with liter mugs - "the masses", and shod boots,
intended for Bavarian tap dance "shupplatl".
These holidays stun roar bravura music, roaring and whistling of
swaying, dancing, hugging and singing about "the joy and
comfort"Germans and tourists from around the world. Everyone
who calls himself or herself a lover of beer must at least once in a
lifetime experience this beer frenzy.
The most famous and explosive beer holidays in Germany are, of course,
Oktoberfest, held annually in Munich. Within two weeks, a huge field
near the city center is a place of this beer rampage. And the beginning
of it was laid in 1810 when the Bavarian prince had to make a big feast
to appease his subordinates and to marry a Prussian princess. Since
that time the festival is held every year and is growing all the time:
the last time it was attended by nearly 7 million people.
Top beer holidays and festivals are held not only in Munich but also in
many other German cities. For example, in Hanover, or in the Rhineland.
In Hanover there is one of the largest exhibition complexes in the
world - Deutsche Messe AG, which helds 12-14 largest exhibitions
throughout a year. One of the biggest beer restaurants in the world
Munchner Halle is located at the exhibition center, and it is very
popular among participants and visitors. The restaurant seats up to
4.000 visitors. Lovers of beer holidays around the world gather there
to have a great time. |
